Overview

The Village at Big Bear Lake is the heart and soul of the community — a pedestrian-friendly shopping and dining district centered around Pine Knot Avenue and Village Drive. With more than 50 stores ranging from artisan boutiques and art galleries to mountain sports outfitters and souvenir shops, it captures the warm, welcoming spirit of mountain living.

Dining options run the full range — from casual breakfast at Teddy Bear Restaurant and Grizzly Manor Café to pizza at Village Pizza and Saucy Mama's, to craft beer at Big Bear Lake Brewing Co. and Fire Rock. For sweets there's North Pole Fudge Co., charming ice cream parlors, and candy stores. Entertainment venues within the Village include Village Theaters North, the Bowling Barn, and Mountain Room Escapes (escape rooms).

Throughout the year, the Village hosts a vibrant calendar of events — classic car shows, the Big Bear Lake Village Wine Walk each June, live music on summer weekends, seasonal festivals, and the famous Fourth of July celebration. During the holiday season the Village transforms into a winter wonderland with Christmas tree lighting, visits with Santa, and festive decorations. Free public parking is available from dawn until dusk in lots throughout the district.
